About This Project

Las Américas serves a mostly Spanish-speaking clientele in Oakley, so the site is written in Spanish first rather than translated into it. The hero is a 97-frame image sequence that plays as you scroll. It has the effect of video without the weight or the autoplay problems on mobile. Below it, the services are split the way the shop actually works: cuts and straight-razor shaves on the barber side, colour, perms and facial waxing on the salon side, with hours and location kept close to the top because that is what most visitors came for.
